Sunshine Provision Elements
SCW conducts business in accordance with the Sunshine Provisions. All elements of the Sunshine Provisions, including the Local Plan which details our processes, are linked below.
Under CFR 679.390, the Local Workforce Development Board must conduct its business in an open manner as required by WIOA sec. 107(e). This includes providing the public, on a regular basis through electronic means and open meetings, access to information about Local WDB activities.
The Sunshine Provisions include:
- Local Plan and Plan Modification – Information about the Local Plan, or modification to the Local Plan, before submission of the plan.
- Local WDB Members – List of members and their affiliations.
- One-Stop Operator Selection – Selection of the one-stop operator. The One-Stop Operator for the South Central WorkSource centers is Baldoz Professional Services (BPS), as selected by the SCW board during the One-Stop Operator procurement. Operator procurement is governed by Policy 301: WorkSource Partner Roles and Responsibilities.
- Grant and Contract Awards – Award of grants or contracts to:
- Eligible training providers of workforce investment activities
- Providers of youth workforce investment activities. The provider of youth workforce investment activities for the South Central region is People For People (PFP), as selected by the SCW board during the WIOA Title I-B procurement. The RFP can be viewed at RFP WIOA Title I-B. The contract is for July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. - Board Meeting Minutes – Minutes of formal meetings of the Local WDB.
- By-laws – Local WDB by-laws, consistent with § 679.310(g).
